Into the Glacier ice cave
Set high on the Langjokull ice cap, around 80 miles from
Reykjavik, Europe's largest manmade ice tunnel and caves
opened on 1 June offering visitors the chance to explore the
glacier's five chambers, located 30m below the surface, while
learning about glaciology and the effects of global warming. The
tour kicks off with a ride on an eightwheel supertruck and can
take up to 80 people, three times a day until September. A
revised timetable runs through the winter months. The cave
room is available for hire for parties, meetings and events. The
typical length of time spent in the cave is between 30 and 50
minutes.

Wonder Wagon
Wonder Wagon is the brainchild of three Icelandic women who
converted an old green bus with crystal chandeliers, scalloped
curtains, paintings, sculptures and a grand piano to provide a
90minute cultural tour of Reykjavik's art scene. Various local
artists make surprise appearances en route to perform live
music, read poetry and to sing traditional Icelandic songs.
Guests can also expect treats, such as coffee and doughnuts.
