Fosshotel Reykjavik
The sleek and stylish 320room Fosshotel Reykjavik opened in
June in the business district, a short stroll from the centre. The
fourstar property's largest conference room, Gullfoss, can host
220 people, but can also be split into two rooms for 150 and 60
people. The Svartifoss conference room, also on the second
floor, has space for a 40person reception or 16 for a
boardroomstyle meeting. Another space, on the 16th floor,
offers an impressive view of the capital for smaller meetings.
The hotel's location is ideal for conference guests as Harpa
Concert Hall and Grand Hotel Reykjavik, a big conference hotel,
are nearby.

New flights to the country from the UK
Icelandair, which currently operates between Reykjavik and
Heathrow, London Gatwick, Manchester and Glasgow, will
double its services to Birmingham to four flights per week from
February 2016. The new flights from Birmingham will operate
each Tuesday and Saturday, in addition to the current Monday
and Thursday services. The airline will also run five weekly
services between Gatwick and Iceland's capital after adding a
Saturday flight to its schedule in June. In the same month, WOW
air launched a new, yearround DublintoReykjavik service,
which will operate three times a week. In December, Easyjet
launched a twiceweekly flight from Belfast International to
Reykjavik.
