Reykjavik Art Museum is Iceland's largest network of art museums. It is located in three unique and magnificent buildings in Reykjavik: Hafnarhús (The Harbour House), Kjarvalsstadir, and the Ásmundur Sveinsson Sculpture Museum.

The museum holds some of the most distinguished works in Iceland's artistic landscape. The museum's exhibits run the gamut from the historical to the disorienting and boundary pushing, while its special events range from quiet concerts to alternative rock events. The Reykjavik Art Museum offers its build- ings to private hire for various receptions and events.
Reykjavík Art Museum was founded in 1973 and has since then been true to its mission of presenting contemporary art in its many manifestations. The diverse programs carried out at the museum's venues have connected the museum and the public in an innovative way and contributed to the accessibility of modern art.
