WHALE WATCHING Reykjavík is a great star ng point for whale watching. Hop on a boat, enjoy a magical journey into Faxaflói bay to explore the whales of Reykjavík and learn all about the incredible wildlife that call Iceland their home. The bay is even full of birdlife, from puffins and gannets to guillemots and more, that ac vely feed on the plen ful fish found in the bay. Magnificent landscapes surround the area and add a unique contrast to the vast ocean, where the spectacular views on the horizon are certainly not to be missed. A popular hiking trail for many locals as well as visitors from abroad. A great exercise with an excep onally beau ful view from the top. PLAY GOLF Play golf at a course stretched across a lava field with caves, rocks and moss just outside the green. 44 44 STROLL THROUGH THE CITY CENTRE Take a stroll through the city centre. Walk around an amazing lake smack in the middle of a bustling capital teeming with bird life. In spring and autumn rare vagrants can be glimpsed, which greatly adds to the a rac on. Take a walk along Laugavegur, the main shopping street. A number of bou ques, designer's shops and art galleries will amaze you.
