Perlan is one of Reykjavík´s landmark and most impressing buildings. It was designed by architect Ingimundur Sveinsson and
is composed of an immense glass dome that sits on six hot-water tanks, each originally carrying 4 million liters of geothermal
hot water. All of this is supported by a colossal steel frame and glass. This architectural phenomenon lends itself to be a
unique loca on for a restaurant. Situated on the top of the water tanks, underneath the glass dome is Perlan restaurant with
views like no other: breathtaking 360° views of mountains, the ocean, Reykjavík and surroundings.
The restaurant focuses on seasonal ingredients where Icelandic culinary tradi ons meet classic European cuisine. Perlan
restaurant offers simple dishes with a nostalgic flair and only the best available ingredients from Icelandic producers make it
all the way to the plate. Their mo o is simplicity, quality, and atmosphere – a combina on that has proven itself to be a great
