The opening of the 9.000 square meter addi on in January 2018 will
offer mul func onal hall suitable for major sport compe ons, concerts,
conferences with access to restaurants, recrea ons and indoor parking.
Egilshöll is the sport and recrea on arena in Reykjavik, the largest of its kind in Iceland and the northern countries. The arena
is around 24,000 m², consis ng of 10,800 fm² football stadium, 400 m² gymnasium hall, 4000 m² Ice ska ng ring, 800 m² shot
training ground and 8,000 m² in various smaller halls, services, and much more. In January 2018 the arena is expanding up to
33.000 fm² offering a mul purpose area for major indoor sport events, conferences, concerts and other events.
The arena offers a 120 × 90m football stadium with 20m headroom over the center line with sea ng facili es for 2.000
spectators and 1.000 standing.
The Ice Ska ng Rink is 60x30m, suitable for interna onal compe ons and offers seats for 250 spectators. There is a fully
equipped indoor prac ce area for shoo ng sport and other smaller areas that are currently being used for karate, taikvondo,
dance, ballet, gymnas cs and aerobics.
